who is moses a. west?
The Vision
The Moses West Foundation was founded by Retired Capt. Moses A. West, a former member of the United States Armed Forces who has experienced first-hand the value of water and its scarcity in various parts of the world. Moses’ background as a member of the 75th Ranger Regiment, the Second Armored Division, the Second Infantry Division, the Seventh Cavalry Regiment, and the 101st Airborne Division, has provided him with a unique appreciation for the importance of water and its role in ensuring the survival and well-being of individuals and communities.
Moses’ experiences on the battlefield have taught him the true value of water, and he has made it his life’s mission to provide clean, safe, and sustainable water solutions to communities in need around the world. Despite facing many challenges and setbacks, Moses has persevered, constantly developing and improving his advanced technology for atmospheric water generation (AWG) to provide water from air, and making it more accessible to people and communities who lack access to clean and safe water.
With his innovative technology and humanitarian vision, Moses has brought clean water solutions to Flint, Michigan, and worked with FEMA as part of relief efforts following Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, supplying an estimated 15,000 people with water via an AWG machine operating on solar power. He has also raised funds to send AWG machines to war-torn Ukraine to provide clean water and safeguard civilians in hiding, and extended resources to a rural Texas town with no running water.
Through the Moses West Foundation, Moses and his team have made it their mission to advocate for social, environmental, and economic justice by providing sustainable water solutions and connecting organizations that will do the most good in advancing self-reliance. They have a vision to educate every level of society in the practice of sustainability for their communities in the face of current and future water, food, and energy challenges.
